GDSK is a small, friendly support service that provides people aged 8+ who have learning or physical disabilities, special needs and any other person in need of support to lead an independent lifestyle to access activities in the community in Barrow and the surrounding area

Mike Pedley
GDSK's Manager / Owner. Mike has completed his NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care. He will be continuing onto his Level 5 in Health and Social Care in 2012. Mike has 10 years experience supporting people to live independently and providing opportunities and activities in the community. This experience covers working with young and old people. He set up GDSK due to the lack of services provided for people with disabilities in the South Lakes area. Mike has a full enhanced CRB check.

Toni Roberts
GDSK's Assistant Manager has completed her NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care and is currently undertaking her Diploma Level 3 . She has 4 years experience supporting people. This experience covers working with young and old people. Toni is enhanced CRB checked.

David qualified in September 2010 as a Mental Health nurse. He has worked for GDSK for 5 years. David is enhanced CRB checked.

Graham
Graham has worked for GDSK for 3 years and has completed his NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social care. He is currently undertaking his Diploma Level 3.Graham has been enhanced CRB checked.

Bill
Bill has worked for GDSK for 2 years. Bill has several qualifications in regards to Supporting people. He has been enhanced CRB checked and is fully qualified with over 20 years experience.

Ashlea
Ashlea has worked for GDSK for 18 months. Ashlea first came to us for work experience through school. She was offered a part time position shadowing the manager which she still does to this day. She is undertaking health and Social care at Sixth Form College. Ashlea has been CRB checked.

Grace
Grace joined GDSK in April 2011. She is currently undertaking her Diploma in Health and Social Care.

Steven joined GDSK in August 2011 and has become a valued member of the team.
